Burt Process Equipment's PHX Neutralization Systems are engineered, integrated and completely prepackaged units with automatic controls and instrumentation designed for ease of installation and maximum reliability. The compact design offers a minimum size footprint and minimum installation expense. Due to its integrated design, only influent, effluent, and vent piping along with electrical line power connections are required in the field. All components are thoroughly tested prior to shipment to ensure reliability and ease of start-up.
The PHX module is designed for use as a continuous flow pH adjustment system for flow rates up to 50 GPM and a pH of 1-14
or can be used as a batch treatment system when run manually or with optional batch controls.
In the continuous flow mode, the influent is directed through the reaction chamber achieving adequate retention time for neutralization. The tank volume is sized for proper retention time based on flow rate and change in pH. A pH probe and controller provides a proportional signal to the metering pumps to dispense the correct amount of reagent chemicals. An agitator provides the required amount of pumping action for ample tank turn over to provide complete blending. The injection points, inlet, outlet, and agitator are strategically located for reliable, accurate performance.
The effluent leaving the process may be monitored by a second pH probe in an effluent wet well assembly providing a permanent record of pH by means of a circular chart recorder.
